Bombus lucorum - B cryptarum Back to Gallery

It has been proposed that Bombus lucorum is a species complex, consisting of at least three species. If the proposals are accepted, this would be B cryptarum. The distinguishing feature is the small dark 'nick' into the yellow band on the thorax, just in front of the wing base.
