Pair of Solitary bees in Hartlepool, TS26 8NN, UK

Hi

I have been interested in having honey bees for over a year and before I got a swarm on 16 June I took these photo's of solitary bees in my garden on 7 June 2012. Other honey bee friends think they may be Osmia rufa or Osmia bicornis (common name Red Mason Bee). I hope i have uploaded them correctly, i am quite new to this.

I have done a traditional bee keeping course with the Cleveland Bee Keepers association and read an article in the BBKA news about the BWARS and thought you may be interested in seeing these photo's.

I am following the Natural Beekeeping method of keeping honey bees and will be finishing a Phil Chandler Kenyan Top Bar hive soon to transfer the swarm into once they have brood. I am a member of the www.biobees.com Natural Beekeeping website.

I get lots of varieties of bumble bees in my garden but have not managed to get any photo's yet.
