Widely distributed in southern England from Cornwall to Kent and north to Surrey, Essex and Suffolk.

Habitat

Probably occurs in a wide range of habitats including Gardens, Woodland, Cliffs and Heathland.

Flight period

Adults are active from April until September.

A predator on the larvae of Nocturnal Black Beetles (Tenebrionidae, Coleoptera)
