Known from Devon to Kent, Surrey and Cambridgeshire.

Europe, Egypt, India.

 

Status (in Britain only)

Unknown.

Habitat

Probably occurs in a wide range of habitats including Gardens, Parks, Fenland  and Heathland.

Flight period

Adults are active from May until September, but mainly during August and September.

Prey collected

A predator on the larvae of Nocturnal Black Beetles (Tenebrionidae, Coleoptera).
